A quiet month by the river
Some months on this project are full of changes, new games, new pages, that sort of thing. This one wasn't like that. We fixed a couple of small display issues, tidied up some wording on the games page, and otherwise left things alone to see how they settled.
There's a temptation, running any small site, to keep adding things just to have something to write about. We've tried to resist that here, since the whole appeal of Play Water Reels is meant to be a place that doesn't demand much of you, and that includes not demanding much of itself either.
A few visitors wrote in this month asking about specific games, mostly wanting to know how the point totals were worked out on Millhouse Twenty-One and Willow Bank Baccarat. Those questions were useful, and we've folded a couple of the answers into the FAQ section so future visitors can find them without writing in themselves.
We did spend an evening going through the blog archive and noticed a few older posts had dates that didn't line up properly with when they were actually written. That's fixed now. Small housekeeping, but the sort of thing that bothers us more than it probably should.
Next month we're hoping to look at the loading time on the slower games, particularly the ones with more moving pieces on screen. Nothing urgent, just something that's been on the list for a while and finally has some room to get done.
